Pony Rides and Wagon Rides

Pony rides are returning to the Greater Grand Forks Fair for 2019. We have a new company providing the rides, but they are not new to the Fair. Point Paradise Stables has been providing free wagon rides to guests at the Fair on weekends for the last several years. They have expanded their stables this year and now have ponies available for rides. The pony rides will be available every day of the Fair, as long as the weather cooperates. Rides are $5 each. Youth must be 60 pounds or less to ride the ponies.

The wagon rides are returning to the Fair again this year. The rides are free on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Check the daily schedule to find the correct times for each day. The rides will start in front of the 4-H Building, between the Grandstands and the Barn.

Point Paradise Stables provide the teams of horses and the wagon. Point Paradise has 2 different teams of Shire horses, a white team and a black team. Come out to the Fair to find out which team is pulling the wagon.

The Shire is a breed of draught horse from Great Britain. The breed is known for being tall, and Shires have held the record for the tallest horse several times. Clayton and Kristen Vetter, owners of Point Paradise Stables, have worked hard over the last several years bringing the Shires to our area and building awareness of the Shire breed.
